At Real Inbound Consulting, we believe sustainability capability starts from within. As part of our commitment to building genuine, in-house ESG and sustainability expertise, we have invested in formally developing our team’s capability in this area through Singapore’s Career Conversion Programme for Sustainability Professionals.
Our consultant undergoing this programme has completed a structured six-month on-the-job training curriculum covering sustainability roadmap development, ESG regulatory compliance, carbon emissions measurement and reduction planning, sustainability reporting, and stakeholder engagement, under the direct supervision of our Director. This investment reflects our belief that helping our clients achieve real, measurable sustainability outcomes requires our own team to first build deep, practical expertise in the field, not just theoretical familiarity.
We remain committed to growing this capability over time, and to applying it both within our own operations and in service of the clients and partners we work with.

Supporting Sustainability Outcomes Through Our Client Work
As a consultancy, RIC’s direct operational footprint is relatively small. Our business is primarily manpower-based, and we do not operate large production facilities, logistics fleets, or energy-intensive assets. For this reason, while we continue to build responsible internal practices, we recognise that our most meaningful contribution to sustainability often comes through the work we do with clients.

This includes helping businesses define their sustainability-linked project scope, align their proposed solutions with relevant grant or incentive requirements, articulate measurable outcomes, and manage the application and implementation process in a disciplined manner.

- Marine Operations Sustainability Standards: RIC has supported a client in the marine and offshore sector on a project involving the attainment of sustainability standards for global vessel operations. Such projects are important because vessel operations can have significant environmental implications, and improvements in sustainability standards can influence how assets are managed, monitored, and operated across multiple markets.
- Water-Efficient Automated Warewashing: RIC has supported a client on the implementation of an automated warewashing system designed to substantially reduce wastewater from cleaning operations. This type of project demonstrates how operational automation can support both productivity and environmental outcomes, especially where manual or legacy processes result in higher water usage and waste discharge.
Broader Commitment
RIC’s sustainability commitment is therefore two-fold. Internally, we are investing in the development of real ESG and sustainability capability within our team. Externally, we aim to apply that capability in ways that help our clients pursue projects with measurable sustainability, resource efficiency, and environmental benefits.
We believe this is the most practical and meaningful way for a specialist consultancy like RIC to contribute to the sustainability agenda: by building the capability to advise responsibly, and by helping businesses implement projects whose impact can extend beyond our own organisational footprint.
