With over SGD 13 million in annual revenue and more than 85% of its sales derived from overseas markets, the company demonstrates strong international traction. Founded in 2015, it has grown to a team of 15 full-time staff and has invested over SGD 6 million in capitalised development to date.

Renowned for its consultancy and design services for subsea cable and power infrastructure, the company is now developing proprietary offshore renewable technologies, including innovative floating solar solutions. Its established global client base and successful track record in large-scale engineering deployments position it as a key player in Asia-Pacific’s transition toward sustainable energy infrastructure.

How RIC Helped


Grant Secured:

Real Inbound Consulting (RIC) successfully supported the client in securing the Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) grant from Enterprise Singapore. The grant provided close to SGD 30,000 in funding support to co-fund international patent filing expenses as part of the client’s strategic market expansion into the United States and other high-potential jurisdictions.

Scope of RIC’s Consulting and Advisory Services:

RIC delivered comprehensive technical and strategic consulting to maximise the success of the grant and the IP filing initiative:
  • Innovation Strategy and Proposal Development
    •  Scoped and articulated the technical novelty and market applicability of the client’s floating solar panel invention, highlighting its relevance to global offshore renewable trends.
  • Jurisdiction Selection and IP Planning
    •  Developed a protection strategy covering key international markets including the US, Japan, China, South Korea, and Vietnam under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).
  • Commercial and Technical Impact Assessment
    • Analysed and documented the invention’s impact on logistics cost reductions, ease of assembly, and improvements in energy generation efficiency.
  • Vendor Coordination and Cost Structuring
    •  Engaged and evaluated suitable IP consultants to support the project, and developed a costed implementation plan that met MRA audit and claim requirements.
  • Grant Documentation and Compliance
    •  Prepared all documentation for grant submission and guided the client through compliance, milestone tracking, and evidence collation.

Outcomes


  • Successfully secured grant funding to initiate PCT filing and multi-jurisdictional IP protection.
  • Supported the filing of a patent for an integrated float-and-solar-panel system with strong commercialisation potential in the global renewable energy sector.
  • Established the foundation for SGD 4 million in projected overseas revenue within three years from commercialisation in the US and other markets.
  • Enabled the client to enter the US market with strategic IP protection in place, opening discussions with investors and commercial partners.
  • Set the stage for job creation, increased valuation, and long-term brand positioning as a leader in floating solar infrastructure.
