Productivity Solutions Grant Singapore: What PSG Supports and When It Is the Right Fit

The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) helps eligible Singapore SMEs adopt pre-approved IT solutions and equipment that improve productivity and automate existing processes.

PSG is designed for relatively standardised adoption projects rather than large, customised transformation programmes.

That distinction matters because companies often compare PSG with the Enterprise Development Grant even though the two schemes serve different project types.

As of August 2026, PSG remains open while Singapore prepares to transition PSG, EDG and MRA into the new EDGE scheme in the second half of 2026.

What Is the Productivity Solutions Grant?

PSG is administered by Enterprise Singapore and other participating agencies.

It supports sector-specific and generic productivity solutions that have been pre-approved for grant support.

Companies can identify eligible solutions through GoBusiness Gov Assist and then apply through the Business Grants Portal.

The programme is most suitable when the company already knows the productivity problem it wants to solve and a pre-approved solution can address that need.

How Much Support Can PSG Provide?

Enterprise Singapore currently states that eligible local SMEs can receive up to 50% support for qualifying PSG costs.

The annual grant cap for solutions supported by Enterprise Singapore is S$30,000 per company, running from 1 April to 31 March of the following year.

These are maximum support levels rather than automatic entitlements.

The final support depends on the eligible solution, qualifying costs and approval of the application.

Who Is Eligible for PSG?

Enterprise Singapore currently requires the applicant to be registered and operating in Singapore, have at least 30% local equity held directly or indirectly by Singapore citizens or permanent residents, and meet the SME size criteria.

The group must have annual sales turnover of not more than S$100 million or group employment size of not more than 200 employees.

The IT solution or equipment purchased, leased or subscribed to must also be used in Singapore.

PSG Is Built Around Pre-Approved Solutions

One of PSG's defining features is that companies generally choose from solutions that have already been assessed and pre-approved under the programme.

This can include sector-specific and generic solutions such as accounting, customer-management, human-resource, cybersecurity, e-commerce, point-of-sale and other productivity tools, depending on what is currently listed.

The company should still assess whether the solution genuinely fits its business needs rather than choosing a system simply because grant support is available.

Do Not Make Payment Before Applying

Enterprise Singapore does not support retrospective PSG applications.

The applicant must not have made payment or any deposit to the supplier, vendor or third party for the relevant solution before submitting the application.

This makes funding assessment an important step before purchase.

Companies should confirm that the solution and vendor are eligible and submit the application before making a financial commitment.

PSG and EDG Are Designed for Different Project Types

PSG is generally suitable for standardised adoption of pre-approved IT solutions and equipment.

The Enterprise Development Grant is more appropriate for larger or customised transformation projects where the company needs to submit an individual proposal explaining the business problem, project scope and expected outcomes.

For example, adopting a pre-approved CRM package may fit PSG, while designing and implementing a complex integrated digital transformation across multiple business functions may be more suitable for EDG or, once launched, the relevant EDGE pathway.

The right scheme therefore depends on the complexity and customisation of the project, not simply the size of the grant.

Think About Business Impact, Not Just Software Features

A PSG application still requires the company to explain the expected business impact and productivity gains.

The strongest adoption decisions therefore begin with the process problem.

The company should understand what work is inefficient today, how the new solution changes the workflow, what employees will do differently and what measurable improvement should result.

This may include time savings, reduced manual work, fewer errors, faster processing or stronger customer-service capability.

Allow Time for Application Processing

Enterprise Singapore currently states that PSG applications are processed in approximately six weeks from submission of all required information.

Companies may choose to proceed with the purchase after submitting the application, but before receiving the outcome, at their own risk.

If the application is unsuccessful, the company will not be able to claim the grant.

For companies that want funding certainty before purchase, the safer approach is to wait for approval.

PSG Is Entering a Transition Period

Budget 2026 announced that the new EDGE scheme will streamline PSG, EDG and MRA into a single enterprise support scheme.

Enterprise Singapore currently states that EDGE will launch in the second half of 2026 and that the existing PSG remains accessible until the new scheme launches.

Budget 2026 also announced an expansion of productivity support to include more digital and AI-enabled solutions.

Companies planning technology purchases during this transition period should therefore check the latest programme position before committing.

How RIC Helps Companies Assess PSG Fit

Real Inbound Consulting helps companies assess whether a proposed technology-adoption project is better suited to PSG, EDG or another funding pathway.

This can include reviewing the company profile, business problem, proposed solution, vendor, project complexity, budget, implementation timing, eligibility and expected productivity outcomes.

RIC's role is not simply to identify a pre-approved solution. For more digitalisation and funding perspectives, visit RIC's Insights section.

The objective is to determine whether the technology project makes commercial sense and which funding pathway best matches its scope.

Note on Grant Information

PSG eligibility, support levels, solution listings, annual caps, application procedures and programme conditions may change over time, particularly during the transition to EDGE.

Companies should refer to Enterprise Singapore and GoBusiness Gov Assist for the latest programme details and eligible solutions.

RIC assesses funding fit based on prevailing programme requirements and each company's actual project context.
