What is the MRA Grant?

The Market Readiness Assistance grant helps companies expand into new markets overseas by defraying the costs of overseas market promotion, business development and set-up.

Support Level

  • 50% support
  • Capped at S$100K grant per company per new market
  • Supportable activites:
  • - Overseas market promotion (capped at S$20,000)
  • - Overseas business development (capped at S$50,000)
  • - Overseas market set-up (capped at S$30,000)

Eligibility

  • > 30% local equity held directly or indirectly by Singaporean(s)
  • New to target overseas market
  • Annual sales in the target market < S$100K in any of the preceding three years
  • Group Annual Sales Turnover < S$100 million OR less than 200 employees

Payment Milestones

Management Fee equivalent to:
​- 15% of Grant Amount Secured, OR
​- SG$3,000; 
whichever higher.

Deposit       SG$900 before start of engagement. Refundable.
First 50%    On Offer Letter secured.
Last 50%   (less deposit) On all reimbursements received. 

To ensure compliance with grant regulations and offer letter terms & conditions:

- RIC will not submit the grant on your company's behalf. The grant has to be submitted using your company's Corp-pass account
- RIC's management fee will not be submitted for grant support, nor be paid out from the grant money received. The grant is meant to only offset the costs of qualifying project costs.
